Victor Monnerot-DumaineProduct Designer

I track how habits are shifting to design products that will be useful tomorrow.

Hello! I'm a product designer interested in how AI can serve users better. I look for where behaviors are evolving, then I prototype and test solutions. My focus: innovation.

Frequently asked questions (open a question to read the answer):

Who are you?

My name is Victor, I'm 21 and I'm a Product Designer. I design digital products starting from the people who will use them. I love working as part of a team, and I want to grow in innovation.

What are you up to right now?

I'm a Product Designer (work-study) at Groupe BPCE. Alongside that, I'm in the final year of my Master's (M2) in Product / Service Design & Innovation at Web School Factory, in Paris. My BPCE projects are confidential, so I don't show them here.

Your passions?

I'm a big fan of innovation, new technologies, sport and above all football 😁

How do you work?

I always start with user research, to understand the real need. Then we prototype, and test with users to check what really works. Throughout the project, I work closely with Product Owners and developers.

How I work

Understand users, frame the problem, prototype, then test and ship.

  1. Start from users

I go into the field to see what people actually experience.

    In practice

    • Field interviews
    • UX/UI audit
    • Competitive research

    What guides me

    Listen before acting

I start from users and what they really go through. Sometimes a single gesture or habit reveals a need, so I keep my eyes open!

  2. Frame the problem

I sort what I've learned to define the real problem.

    In practice

    • User journey
    • Service blueprint
    • Design Thinking

    What guides me

    Frame it together

I never frame a problem alone. I define it with the Product Owners and the team, based on field insights.

  3. Prototype ideas

I explore several directions and make them tangible, fast.

    In practice

    • Design Sprint
    • Figma mockups
    • Prototypes

    What guides me

    Keep the pace

I like short sprints. And I check in with the team often: having several pairs of eyes on a prototype is essential!

  4. Test and ship

I test with users, then ship with the team.

    In practice

    • User testing
    • Iterations
    • Developer specs

    What guides me

    Practice to improve

I prototype and test early, then I adjust.
